I am speechless. I have been silent and still am.

I find it better to say nothing at all

than show how dark my thoughts can be.

Especially those about the future. I feel that I'm about to disappear into a dark void.

Filled with nothing but my sketches, jewelry and pieces of thought written on an old envelope.

When the good ones emerge I write here to you .

Tonight I will be up all night making the small drawing below into a great big one.

Hopefully with some luck I will make it live on the canvas. Create it's own time and space.

That is all that's hopeful today. A piece of paper and some crayon.

How have you been darlings? I can't feel the new year yet. I seem to pick up a subject and then drop it so clumsily ot the ground. I want to start something new and yet it falls apart so very quickly. Beginnings are tough, especially if you want to make changes. I'm giving myself time. Time will sort things out for sure. It will be ok. Do you realise that? Everything will be ok somehow.

Tomorrow I'm going to see one of my friends who has a one year old daughter. I can't wait to be there.

Especially because it's one of the joys in life I will miss out on. BUT. I want to make the best of my time there. I have a handmade bear and some chocolates. I have a smile and an open heart. I have a bottle of champagne for my parents-in-law-to-be. Ha. I will get them drunk and make them laugh. That's what it's all about.

Dears, I hope that the beginning of the 2012 year has been a very happy one for you! I hope it keeps getting better and better. And I promise for the next post to be somewhat more artsy than this psychological jibber jabber.

The new year brings a new start to things.

Beginnings are my favorite, but to do that properly

we must finish what we have to do.

A clean slate is peace for the soul.

SO.

I have a lot of work to finish what I have in the studio.

So I can focus on the fresh challenges to come.

The bee lino is done. You will see results after I can get it on paper in January.

And here is what I need room for.

The jewelry parts are arriving one by one.

Soon I'll be stuck by the door while answering the mail all the time.

It's getting closer and closer! As I said before these two days were about baking. Mostly for todays' graphics christmas party at the academy.

I can't wait really, it will be the first time I'll be there!

But, after all it's still a normal week day and we have to get some work done.

Day 6 undtil the very X of our year.

I need to start an etching so it will be finished in the new year for me to put on paper.

And off to drawing.

I think this will take me up the rest of the day.

But I can't wait for the outcome in january!

Day 5 and 4 are baking days. Little reindeer cupcakes and cookies for friends.

It's only 9 days till Christmas!

And above that- it's Friday night tonight.

But guess what we're going to do instead of going out ( Saturday is a much better day for that!).

We are going to buy our loved ones some flowers and spend the evening with them.

It is only 10 days till Christmas everybody!

And the countdown begins. With all that is merry, snowy, cinnamony, glittery and smells of pinecones.

From now on everyday until the 25th there will be something happy to experience.

Because in the madness of our work we need to start feeling thatspecial atmosphere

before it's too late!

Today.

Dress at least a bit like Fleur de Neige from the Nutcracker.

Listen to music and imagine the snowflakes falling from the sky having a beautiful synchronised dance like in the ballet.

If you actually HAVE snow already.

Tell me, do you like ghost stories?

Well. The power went out this morning.

As I had nothing to do for the moment, I went down to finally make myself a cup of coffee. As I was passing the glass door to the garden I saw what my kitteh has been up to. He was scratching the glass frantically so he would get to this huge black beast that was growling on the other side. I have never seen a cat look so evil. He was twice the size of my kitty, just growling and staring at him without blinking. My silly kitteh wanted to play and was jumping around as the other one waited calmly.

I wanted to scare him off, but was afraid to go outside myself.

'Luckily we have a crystal above the door, no evil will pass'.

And so the cat left for a corner by our wood shed to keep on observing us, with those blinkless eyes. Have you ever seen a cat hypnotize someone? I was really close to that today. I got to the camera and made it to shoot some pics while my Teofil was going crazy. The black one then looked at me. This eery calmness. Turned around and left.

The power returned within seconds.

And how can you not believe that there is something besides what we see and know? Besides all this everyday boredom. Demons are among us, yes.

The crystal saved my cat. Is that crazy or what?

It has finally arrived! That time of year when you do things that you used to do when you were a kid and you don't have to feel guilty about it. That time when you can enjoy just making things pretty. Well, it's Christmas, you sort of have to, right? So without any bad feelings about anyone or anything you get to work. It turns out you don't need much.

While I was working on something new THEY might like, I thought that it is still something very deep for me. Like throwing out pieces of my soul on paper. These are just projects for bigger work on canvas. Anyway, they were. Rejected as well with the words " I don't understand it and to be honest I don't like it at all". I don't know if I'll be continuing the making of this into something more, but I decided to share it with you lovelies anyway.

Now I'm thinking... What to hell am I supposed to do?!

I'll figure it out. Some uncontrolled blotches of ink and charcoal may do the trick.

But tell me, is it fair to fake your way through art? To do what you completely hate?

I do not know.

No wonder artists often went crazy, right?

Anyway I am happy I can share this with you guys. And stay positive, I am having an easier time to do so knowing you are there :)

Hello dears, I feel so awful to have neglected you in a way that I did. I am so busy I can't find time for almost anything. A new job, school, art fairs and projects. So this time, instead of bombing you with what I do, because, well.. I have to, I decided to share something I haven't shared before. My love for cooking. It allows you to be creative in a way that other people can experience themselves once you serve it to them. This time it was just for my brother and I. A french casserole with ham and cheese with mushroom sauce. And for dessert? Figs with gorgonzola cheese and bacon. My apologies to the vegetarians ( really! I just can't not eat meat, I've tried a few times)... Next time I'll cook something to share with you too :)

The little furry creatures that make our lives so much better. The top one is my kitty and the second one is my friend's little monster. These below are ones from the cat show that is organised each year. I've been there on saturday and didn't want to leave! Just a little cuteness to begin your week with. Don't they make you want to go and adopt one right now??

The white fluffy persian cat is my personal favorite. He looks absolutely furious, but acted so sweet! I will have one like that someday.

being busy

I have been up to some new projects recently, wanting to get them done before the holidays, this is one of them. An etching that I will be making for the first time tomorrow from the plastic above. That will be a real moment of truth, I spent about 9 hours carving that thing.

And I can't wait till Christmas! I have most of my presents wrapped and ready for me to give to my dear ones.

These are a few sweeties that I got from my penpals! They made my day a much more cheerful one. Now the blue twin sisters will be guarding my jewellry.

I found this fellow by accident in a store and emediately fell in love with him.

Winter has come for good. Snow is piling up on my doorstep and in the garden. Everything is pretty and white, although it could stop being so windy all the time...

This girl I painted during the previous weekend, she was supposed to be a present, but I decided to keep her.

And this is a little pre-christmas gift for my precious. A tiny pillow with an etching I worked on a while ago. I gave him my heart!

Why is everything so confusing in life? Thoughts are circling themselves, making each other pointless. Living equals dying. To the point where nothing makes sense. I have been making a lino for my christmas cards this year. I will be making the first ones today!

I've been cheering up a friend, who had some guy-related problems. Sweet girls should never be left alone in such situations.

This is Rosie. She is the first of all my doll like creations, so she is a celebrity among my curious things in the room. No. You will not get her, but her sisters and daughters will be showing up on the yet nonexistent etsy.. I'm very excited! Would you like a cup of tea wit hthis lovely redhead? We have matching scarves...

- A beautiful day in Poznan while biking through parks up to the old town.
- Getting my first cat. That day was so amazing!

Emily ( like my grandmother) - I love that name, but my mother thought it was unlucky, so she gave me a different one.
Kornelia- I love that name it's somehow from a fairytale.

I collect stuffed animals, I name them and I really do think that they have souls :) Most of them are tiny bears.

8. What do you love most about yourself?
I think it would be the ability to create things. Making felt creatures, knitting scarves, painting and making jewellry. It all makes me complete somehow.

9. If you had a 'Freaky Friday' experience, who would you change places with?
I was stretching my mind so much to answer this. But I couldn't find an answer. Maybe I'm just supposed to be me at all times? :)

10. I can't imagine not being a woman! I love the way we see the world, the way we appreciate art, color, form. I can't live without my makeup case and my jewellry. And getting flowers. Which guy gets flowers?!

Autumn is always a delight for me. It's fruit and colors. I wish I had a way to stop time.
The last days of my free thinking before I go to the art factory. I knitted a purse which fell in love with my deer shirt. And the painting, well, the painting. I don't know whether it's
done, or a work in progress. We will see.

We were like children, playing around the house.

I made this deer shirt today. I think I must have been a forest
creature once. I feel best among the green.
I fed the ducks today, they gathered round to tell me some gossip.
The fish came to nibble on the bread as well.
And the kitty creature at home loves plum pie best.

objects do have souls

Antique market slash junkyard. Eveything has a history, each one of these tiny things had a life before getting in that box. Objects have souls, they make them as they go along.

The effect of my looking around was this tiny doll's head. I called her Rosalie. And she is the first of my doll head collection. Creepy. Another positive outcome was, that I decided to get back to the real photography that makes my heart beat a little bit faster.

This is her, taking a bath, she will be beautiful once more soon.

Things we spend our time on. The art, the emotions, the poetry of no words at all. This is the inside of my head. They have been with me for enough time now, it is finally time for them to find a new home. I have been busy busy busy. The faeries are taking me for a trip to see the big blue waters. I have been making dresses, hair pins, pendants, just to keep them satisfied, to let them know I'm ready. We are leaving today and I am taking my thought book and my camera.

Thank you Kim, for inspiring me to make my own clothes! I did not yet use the wonderful dress pattern you sent me, but I will, first thing when I come back. And thank you Dori, for the cute button!

Colors, threads, textures, something from nothing. These little things are my treasures. I keep them in boxes just like a duchess would keep her diamonds. They are like acid. They take me on trips into my mind. Paper birds fly me there and leave me stranded in this sea blue world of small, precious magic. There is no pain and regret there, no worries of any kind. Those paper doves are my newest friends.

The trees that do watch over us are like family members. Gazing out to the garden I said to her "I love you" and cried. Who else in the world will tell her leaves that they are special and cared for? I am writing letters. Letters to the garden To put in the ground when I will be selfishly abandoning all those green ghosts and faeries, to find new ones somewhere else. I will never forget.

A new life is going to be welcomed to the world this september. What better gift for the mother than a handmade little something for her girl? I envy her so much that she is going to have a daughter! Maybe when I already move to Poznan I'll be an unofficial crazy auntie?... The background is an ancient watercolor of mine that I found in a long ago forgotten drawer. Maybe I should go back to that technique.. I haven't painted anything this way in over 3 years..
